Rev. Wayne Caraway |
REVEREND WAYNE CARAWAY
As a young child growing up in Plant City, Florida, Rev. Caraway was certainly no stranger to the church or it's people. A strong family thread of preaching had already woven its ties around his life. He was totally absorbed by the preaching, teaching and of course the wonderful southern gospel music that drenched each service. By age eleven, he was picking out gospel tunes on his first guitar, received the call to preach at age 16 and by nineteen he was preachin', pickin' and grinning all over central and south Florida.
With a love for preaching and a gift for evangelizing, he went on to pastor several churches within Florida, and now finds himself pastoring at the non-denominational Christian Worship Center in Center Hill where his delighted, growing assembly is blessed by his folksy humor, gifted musical abilities and dynamic preaching style.
He and his talented wife Eva, who compliments his singing with her wonderful voice, are presently recording their first CD.
If you ask Rev. Caraway what his main mission for the church is, he will tell you "To reach the lost within and without the church walls."
Recently, Rev. Caraway was appointed to the position of State Chaplain for the Florida Rural Letter Carrier's Association.
